The List

I recently went to see "I Don't Know How She Does It" with a friend of mine and it was such a cute, cute movie! While I'm not a working mom like Sarah Jessica Parker's character, I can so relate to many of the things she goes through in the movie! For instance, the list. If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talkin bout...

She said that no mom gets a full nights sleep. So true. If you're not jumping up to check on your babies every time you hear a cough or sneeze (or elbowing your spouse to go do it for you), you're writing the perpetual list on the ceiling of all the things you need to get done the next day. I'll spare everyone all the daily items that would pop up on my list like clean the kitchen... again... and then once or twice more after that, or, try one more time to get that ten day old mashed, hardened, decomposing clump of banana off the floor under the high chair... and just stick to projects.

1.  Finish painting the wall that will be the death of me in the dining room: this is a hand-painted wallpaper wall that when finished will look totally awesome, but I'm a huge procrastinator and it's extremely difficult for me to finish anythi

2. Finish painting the baby's room: "why wouldn't you finish one room before moving onto another?" asks my sweet husband... Uh... great question. I have no answer.

3. Paint over the white splotch on the wall in the living room that the sheet rocker left right above the tv that I look at everyday but just haven't been annoyed by enough yet to fix.

4. Make the paper chandelier for the baby's room that's 40% completed.

5. Buy a new clock for the kitchen!!! Every time I look at it I have to reason with myself why it could not possibly be 4 till 7 again!

6. Find some cheap lamps for the living room that I can make look expensive and/or fashionable with my crafty wizardry.

7. Finish making my daughter's spirit shirt that she's supposed to wear every friday and she's yet to get to wear. It's been 5 weeks people... 5 weeks.

8. Seal the outdoor kitchen at least 2 more times... I considered myself lucky that I got it done once. It needs to be done 3 times?!? Come on!

I'm overwhelmed just looking at my list and it's not even complete. Maybe this will get me started and I can post pics as I finish as a way to motivate myself to FINISH SOMETHI
